Just a quick posting here from Bodhgaya to let everyone know it's Nichole's birthday and we're going out for a lovely day in the parks, gardens and temples. This is now the 4th consecutive birthday for Nichole in another country, a tradition we're happy to continue. It's been a wonderful "excuse" to leave the country at least once a year. I'm so blessed to have a wife and travel partner with such a sense of adventure and curiosity for the world.
There is a big chanting festival starting today as well, so the main temple site is packed with monks and nuns from around the world for this annual ceremony where groups from each country chant prayers in their own language around the main temple and bodi tree marking the spot where the Buddha attained enlightenment.
