We have a very different view than the last few months. Nice to see family and have some comforts of home.

24 hours in Singapore

China Town, Tamil-Style Temple and the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple.

Tam Coc 2

The Hang Mua temple is a five minute walk from our guesthouse. Through a lovely garden and then up 500 steps up to the top where you see the dragon, the pagoda lantern and Kuan Yin statue. The panorama shots are from the top too. It is amazing here! 

You have to walk to get to the guesthouse past goats, pigs, ducks and a sharp-tempered dog who responds quickly to simply picking up a stone.

Nguyen Shack is our chilly home for the next few days. We weren't expecting such cold weather anywhere on the trip when we shipped most of our winter clothes home in October. Thank goodness I kept Fe's down coat and heavy socks as a just-in-case. The typhoon hitting the Philippines has changed things up here and it is colder than normal.

This place is amazing with a small cave to explore immediately outside our hut. Here are some photos from the bus ride here and around the common spaces this morning. Felix is in heaven with all the building materials and sand to dig in. Our hut is shown in one of the photos. I need to get a shot of the inside and one of the cave too. What a terrific, wild stop as one of our lasts on the trip.
