NicholeWe are in Tam Coc tonight after a mixed-bag night (great room, bed, meals and company but a pilfering rat in our room during the night) on Halong Bay.
Here are some photos from Hanoi to the bay. Those are porcupines on the moto on their way to someone's plate. Michiganders, did you catch the mitten? A few from the cave tour on the bay. It was three-chambered space with some cool features.
Our bus ride to Tam Coc was wild--a total locals bus complete with a yelling and pushing steward who tried to make us comfortable and made sure we got off when we needed to.
Our place here is lovely and really cool. Felix has a made a friend in a spunky little Belgian girl who is 4.5 and just his speed. Lola and Felix are zooming around and shouting about monsters. We have only 3 walls on our hit, which is a surprise to us. It's not a triangular space either. Luke missed that detail when booking, but it wouldn't have stopped us because this place is amazing!! Our coolest accommodations to date, also the coldest. Photos of all this tomorrow.
