We took the 5:00am flight from Delhi and watched the sun rise up behind Nanda Devi while in the air. What is there to be said? You need pictures! I know this, but the connection is too slow right now and it is getting late for us. I am sorry to leave you hanging and I promise to do you right tomorrow with some gorgeous photos and more updates. We were saying over dinner that we are turned all around--sleeping during the mornings, catching rides to the airport at 3:30am, counting sheep during the wee hours of the night. We have only been in India for about 36 hours, but it feels like days with all that we have packed in. It is just harder here to get things done here. Simple things like getting a SIM card for Luke's phone and needing 3 color passport-sized photos to give to the really rude phone-card ladies just to buy the SIM card...it makes no sense to me sometimes, but then I smile and remember that I am a stranger in a strange land and get in line at the pharmacy so I can buy my shampoo.
One little update: because we took the flight to Leh that we had booked while we were still in Colorado, it meant we left Delhi without Luke's bag. We are teaming-it-out like we do and Luke is looking super cute in my t-shirts and socks, though if he's bag doesn't get here soon, those jeans of his are going to walk themselves down to the laundry wallah!
*giggle* A boy, looking no more than 14 at best, just walked into the computer lab where Luke and I are at; he is wearing a security guard jacket and big flashlight. The kid is seriously barely old enough to guard a box of twinkies, but he is feeling himself in that badged jacket!
For now, it's good night for me and good morning for you (except for you Vini!)

Pretty daring to head off without a bag, but there are always options. Want to see photos of those mtns. Great litte GoogleEarth map on the site. pops
