Our friend arrives in Leh and so does the Karmapa

Luke has added a big update in the previous post and also added a bunch of new photos. I have gone through over the last few days and added a bunch of comments and answers to your comments. You find what I added just a few lines after and in the comments pages.

Today our friend, Craig, arrived in Leh and he rolled in like a champ. He even beat me up to the Shanti Stupa where we took him right after our breakfast and his morning coffee. We are hoping he gets some rest tonight; when we left him, after he had a second meal of momos today, he looked good and tired.

The Karmapa is back in Leh again and he staying about 100 meters across the way from our hotel. It is quite really exciting and the locals just are so moved to have him here again, to see him, to be given anything from him or his people. They have so much love for him, and that it is really moving. Luke, Craig and I jumped right into the crowd and were given a photo of him and a red cord of protection to wear around our necks, by the monks who are with him. We were told that he needed to rest tonight and that we could return tomorrow for a audience with him at 6:00am. We are going to meet there since Craig is staying at a different place than we are.

We bought Luke a Tin Tin in Tibet t-shirt today, which I suspect will please Peter to no end. Luke is going don his shirt, do his hair just so and find a scrappy street pup to pose with. I will post it when it comes together!

I think we are going to head out and try to see some more places around Leh on our moto tomorrow. We are thinking that we will head to Nepal in about a week, which is little hard to consider since we are so happy and comfortable here. We are coming up on our first month completed and we have so many places that we still want to see.
