The scenery is gorgeous. What are the temps like? How much do they vary? I see bananas in the market, but people (at the festival) seem dressed for cool weather.
Amazing photos! The North of India looks so different than pictures of the South. Can you eat salad? How do you know what raw things you can and can't eat? Thanks again for sharing your beautiful journey with those of us at home. Does it feel like a 2nd honeymoon yet????

GREAT! You are in amazing place again and traveling! We were in Leh a year ago, also during the festival and we absolutely loved it. We even rent some bikes and went for a ride to Tikshi.
Andrej and I just got back from our another climbing expedition, this time it was Greenland - it was awesome, very beautiful nature.

Krista--the air is cool during the day, but the sun can be so scorchingly hot at this elevation. The nights are cool and great for sleeping.
Elizabeth--The North is so different and really lovely too. Plenty of shanti up here in these mountains! We do eat salad and raw veggies and fruits, but only if we peel it or get it at a restaurant that feeds tourists--they wash everything purified water for us. Others eat everything the see though, but we don't b/c it is not worth being really sick and having to take cipro. You're welcome to be coming along with us, I love sharing it with anyone who is joining in. It does feel like a second honeymoon, but even better since all the practice we have over the last few years in being married has really paid off. I have to say that I am madly in love with Luke and one of my greatest treasures is holding his hand while we pull our bags through some airport terminal--it is terribly romantic!!
Tanja--Of course you and Andrej love Leh too, it is so beautiful here. Wow! Are you sharing your photos from Greenland somewhere online? I almost forgot, I watch a YouTube video of you and some other women on a climbing trip--it was really cool. I hope we will have another chance to visit you guys in Slovenia and to head into the mountains next time. I know we didn't do your home justice on that short visit.
